Working Principle
A trommel screen consists of a cylindrical drum with perforations or mesh screens on its surface. The drum is usually inclined and mounted on a frame, with the material to be screened fed into the higher end.
As the drum rotates, the material inside tumbles and slides, allowing the smaller particles to pass through the perforations or mesh while the larger particles and contaminants are retained and eventually discharged at the lower end.
